in December 2021, Pete McCredie packed his life into a van and headed to Byron Bay with a guitar, a dream, and a determination to share his music. He started out busking on the streets, playing to anyone who stopped to listen. What began as a simple leap of faith quickly became the foundation for a growing career built on honesty, heart, and a genuine connection with people.

Pete’s music sits somewhere between folk, acoustic pop and storytelling – songs that feelat home around a campfire, on the road, or with the windows down on the way to the beach. His debut EPPut A Little Love On Me introduced that sound, followed by a steady run of releases including Goodbye, In The Water and Good To Be Alive.

It was In The Water that changed everything. After gaining momentum across social media, the song went viral and has since amassed millions of streams, becoming one ofPete’s defining songs. It has connected with listeners around the world and has also found its way onto the big screen, featuring in the upcoming film The Last Resort, starring Daisy Ridley and the late great Sam Neill.

Pete’s music has continued to find its way beyond streaming platforms too.Good To Be Alive is being used for a major Camplify advertising campaign across Australia and NewZealand, bringing his music to an even wider audience through television and digital advertising.

With more than 120,000 followers on Instagram, hundreds of thousands of monthly Spotify listeners and millions of streams across his catalogue, Pete has built a loyal audience around music that is positive, vulnerable and deeply human.

Live performance remains at the heart of Pete’s journey. He has headlined five Australian national tours, toured internationally throughout the UK and Europe, and sold out shows across Australia. He has shared stages with artists including Pete Murray, Tay Oskee, Jordy Maxwell and Current Swell, while continuing to build a reputation for live shows that can put a tear in your eye one minute and a spring in your step the next.
